Jeannin keeps his options open

Alex Jeannin, the French-born defender formerly with Exeter, isn't giving much away about his future according to BBC Sport. Speculation that Hereford United could be interested in him appears unlikely assuming the BBC report is accurate.

Jeannin was signed by Exeter in August 2003 having had a trial at Yeovil.

A host of league clubs and Conference South team Weymouth have offered former Exeter defender Alex Jeannin a deal.

The Frenchman, 27, was released by the Grecians at the end of last season and played the final game for Bristol Rovers, who wanted to sign him.

But Jeannin turned them down and is now weighing up offers from two League One clubs and two League Two clubs, as well as a chance to play for the Terras.

"Weymouth are in a good position if I don't sign for a league club," he said.

He is reported by the Exeter Express and Echo as wanting to stay in England to play football.

"It's been very pleasing that a lot of clubs have made contact since the end of the season. Now I need to make the right choice for my career and I am hoping to do that before the middle of the week."
