The Accrington Stanley manager has admitted to the Lancashire press that he spoke to the referee after Saturday's game about Hereford United's goalkeeper Wayne Brown.
"The keeper's made a couple of good saves. But he made a couple of horrendous chances and got away with both of them - one in the first minute and one in the last - and there's no place for that in football," said John Coleman.
"But that's why we have officials and hopefully he won't get away with too many more of them.
"I thought that just because the goalkeeper's got the ball or goes for the ball doesn't give them a licence to kick people. Unfortunately, what I saw on Saturday, is when the keeper had the ball in his hands he kicked Andy Todd in the middle of his chest and the referee gave a foul. Now if it's a foul for him putting his chest into the keeper's six studs the game's changed since I played.
"And then there was a horrendous challenge on Ian Craney.
"He's got the ball with a great save but then Ian's tried to hurdle him and he's deliberately stuck his feet into his knees, and that's poor.
"I don't want to draw too much of that into the game.
"You could maybe say it could have affected the game because he could have given a penalty for either incident.
"But you don't get penalties for them and I'm not expecting them, but I just don't think it's fair that two of our players got hurt.
"The second one could have put Ian Craney out for a long time, and there was no need for it. He'd made the save, just get on with it."
