Dennis Wise and his assistant Gus Poyet will move to Leeds United from Swindon.
There is just the agreement over personal terms to be concluded. Yesterday Swindon withdrew permission for Wise and Poyet to speak to Leeds after failing to agree a compensation package with the Championship club. But later a deal was done.
Wise has been continually linked with Leeds after spending many years as a player under United chairman Ken Bates at Chelsea.
Meanwhile, Swindon have appointed Dave Tuttle, who was acting as their Head of Youth and Scouting Director, as their caretaker manager.
Hereford United visit Swindon a week next Saturday.
