Magpies Now L2 Favourites

Notts County have leapt to the top of the bookies lists for the coming season.

The Magpies were 25/1 shots in May after another dismal season, but are now favourites across the board at 13/2 following Sven Goran Ericsson's appointment. Rotherham are now second in the list with Shrewsbury third and drifting slightly on the rumours of Grant Holt's imminent departure.

The Bulls continue to slip in the odds, with more bookies offering 33/1 on a title win. Aldershot have slipped significantly to 66/1 but Macclesfield and Accrington remain the two favourites for the drop. Accrington can be backed at a whopping 298/1 on the betting exchanges to win the division, while Macclesfield are available for 248/1, with the pair both 7/2 for the drop.

John Trewick is 12/1 to be the first Manager of the Month of the new season, with League new boys Burton and Torquay's bosses heading the list at 9/1.

The first list for top goalscorer has also been released. The Bulls' sole striker, Leon Constantine, is 28/1 as is ex-Bull Steve Guinan and Bury hotshot Andy Bishop. Jack Lester heads the list at 12/1 with Dean Windass and Adebayo Akinfenwa on 16/1. In the League One list Theo Robinson is 20/1 seventh favourite to top the scoring charts.
