Bradford have signed Huddersfield goalkeeper Simon Eastwood on a six month loan. He spent the second half of last season at Woking after making just one appearance for the Terriers. Port Vale boss Micky Adams has told trialist Kevin Thornton to lose weight to get a contract. Adams managed Thornton at Coventry and Brighton, but the player was sacked from Coventry last season over a drink-drive conviction.

Rotherham striker Reuben Reid is now attracting interest from West Brom according to press reports. Blackpool were previously claimed to have made a £200,000 offer for the former Plymouth trainee. Bournemouth striker Jeff Goulding has enlisted the help of a boxing coach to toughen him up for the coming season after being accused of wimping out of challenges last term.

Chesterfield have signed their former midfielder Paul Allott after he was released by Tranmere just a month after agreeing to join them from Oldham. He spent five years at Saltergate sandwiched between two spells at Oldham. Livingston have been described as 'hopelessly insolvent' by their court appointed Administrator. He has given owner Angelo Massone 48 hours to hand over his majority stake for £25,000 or he will liquidate the club.

Cheltenham have agreed a settlement on the final year of midfielder John Finnegan's contract. He is now likely to join either Newport or Kidderminster.
