News Round Up

Accrington have released striker Gary King and midfielder John Mullin. Twelve other existing players have been offered contracts, while a deal has also been offered to former loanee Billy Kee. Kris Taylor has signed his one year contract extension at Port Vale. Burton have lost out on the services of former loan keeper Artur Krysiak after Exeter announced his signing.

Crewe have signed midfielder Lee Bell from Macclesfield on a two year deal. He turned down a new contract with the Silkmen. The Railwaymen are expected to start the season with a loan keeper after Steve Phillips' surgery on a shoulder injury produced complications that will delay his recovery past the start of next season. Local press have linked Dagenham boss John Still to the managerial job at Colchester, with Aidy Boothroyd leaving for Coventry yesterday.

Wrexham have signed Aldershot defender Chris Blackburn after he was released by the club. The Shots intend to produce a full list of released players later today. Wycombe have lost the services of striker Alex Revell after he opted to stay in League One and sign a deal with Leyton Orient. The Chairboys are claimed to be interested in Jamie Cureton and Bury's Ryan Lowe.

Former Bulls target Ben Strevens has been transfer listed by Brentford. They are expecting a fee for the former Dagenham man. Histon have named notorious former Cambridge manager John Beck as their new boss. He was previously a coach at the club before departing due to cost-cutting by the previous regime. Farsley are the latest side to suffer a hefty demotion due to their financial state. They will drop three divisions this summer into the NCEL.

Rushden's dressing room is said to be split after newspaper claims that Paul Terry, brother of John, had followed in the family footsteps and slept with the girlfriend of one of his teammates. Oxford have signed former Luton man Asa Hall on a two year deal, but released five including ex-Bull Chris Hargreaves. Also joining the U's are Peterboro winger Alfie Potter, who spent last season at the Kassam, and York full back Ben Purkiss. Potter has cost an undisclosed fee.

Aldershot have released six players including ex-Bull John Grant and former Shrews striker Omer Riza. They have offered deals to eight existing players plus loanee Dean Morgan, who has been released by MK Dons.
