Heath joins Bulls

Central defender Joe Heath has joined Hereford United on an initial one months loan from Exeter City.

The 22-year-old started for the Grecians at Edgar Street earlier this season in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy Second Round Tie. The game was Jamie Pitman's first in charge of the Bulls after Simon Davey was sacked.

"Joe has been terrific since he joined us," said Exeter Director of Football Steve Perryman.

"He is one of the best trainers I've ever seen and unfortunately for him the chance has just not come his way

"We feel that it would do him a lot of good to get some senior games under his belt and the morale boost that playing for points gives a player."

As no mention has been made of him being cup-tied it is assumed he can play against Lincoln City on Saturday.

Heath started his football career as a trainee at Notts Forest. He went out on loan to Lincoln City for six months from July 2009, a hernia operation limited his appearances, and then to Exeter last March for a month. He signed for them in August but other than in the Trophy game at Hereford is yet to have been given a start.
