Striker Signings Rumoured

The Bulls have been linked to a pair of January striker signings.

Long standing target Richard Brodie's future is again up in the air with parent club Crawley seemingly keen to get him off their wage bill. Red Devils' boss Richie Barker has already agreed settlements with winger Scott Neilson and defender Charlie Wassmer to depart the club early, and Brodie is also expected to be on the list of names the former Bury manager is keen to offload to enable his own January acquisitions.

The 25 year old striker has netted six times in 25 games during his half-season loan at Morecambe. Shrimps boss Jim Bentley wants to extend the deal to the end of the season but finances are tight at the Globe Arena with their last home match attracting just 1,385 spectators.

Also on the list of rumoured targets is Telford striker Chris Sharp. He netted 22 times in 38 games for TNS prompting the Bucks to shell out an undisclosed fee, claimed in the press to be a club record, in August 2011. Bucks boss Andy Sinton confirmed that a Conference side had made a move for the player in his post-match interviews two days ago.

Rumours also persist that defender Chris Todd is to return to Edgar Street in January. The 31 year old had a highly successful six game spell with the Bulls earlier in the season and has seen only FA Trophy action for Forest Green since being recalled.

For these signings to occur there are likely to be high profile departures from the playing squad, unless some as-yet undeclared new investment has been found.

A number of Football League scouts have watched Bulls matches in recent weeks, with rumours that Ryan Bowman, Sam Clucas, Stefan Stam, and Harry Pell have all been the targets being watched after impressing during the FA Cup run.
