News Round-Up

Hyde have signed midfielder Connor Hughes following his release from Oldham. The 20 year old only had a handful of sub appearances for the Latics over the past two years. Dartford say midfielder Mark Arber has turned down a new contract with the club. The former Dagenham man, 35, is reported to have been looking for a longer deal than the one offered.

Released Kidderminster man Keith Briggs has signed for Conference newcomers Halifax. Defender Bradley Wood has become Alfreton's first signing of the summer. The former Grimsby man, 21, played over 100 times for the Mariners after graduating from their youth team.

Tamworth say that Cambridge defender Jonathan Thorpe has turned down a contract offer from them in favour of going part-time and starting a university course. The Lambs are also hopeful that Lee Hendrie will reverse his retirement decision after he and manager Dale Belford had talks while the pair were part of a veteran Aston Villa side that played in the Far East last weekend.

Worcester have announced that they will continue next season, and will continue to offer their £100 season tickets to the end of June. They have registered their participation in Conf North for next season. Gateshead have signed Darlington defender Joe Tait on contract for next season. The centre back was a regular as the Quakers won promotion from the Northern Football League Division One.

Coventry's Administrator has extended the deadline for bidders for the club by a week. An Asian consortium and a bid fronted by an American tycoon are already on the table. The local press are reporting that Truro City's debt pile has been reduced from £4million to just £145,000 ahead of a meeting next week to agree a CVA. The reductions have largely come from false claims, several made by people and companies associated with bankrupt former owner Kevin Heaney.
