Ex-Bull Connor Signs For Silkmen

Former Bulls loanee Joe Connor has signed for Macclesfield.

The 27 year old played 13 times for the Bulls at the end of last season, before being released by relegated Stockport. Silkmen boss John Askey told their official site:

“He’s another local lad and of course has a connection with the club as I used to play alongside his dad here. He’s had a good season at Stockport and Hereford and is another who has been attracting attention elsewhere, and turned down more money elsewhere to sign for us here.

“He’s certainly got the right attitude for us and is just the type of player we want at the club. He’s a big, powerful lad, a box to box player who has versatility in being able to play in the middle and at the back.”

Meanwhile, former Bulls loanee Febian Brandy has left Walsall for Sheff Utd. The out of contract 24 year old leaves the Saddlers after a single season.
