Dragons Struggling In Final Third

Wrexham caretaker boss Billy Barr says his side is struggling to score goals at the moment.

The Dragons have failed to score in their last three games, with Barr admitting after Tuesday's loss to Luton that he was going to have to do some work:

"That final third is a problem at the moment and we’re going to have to come back in Thursday, dust ourselves down and we’ll be doing some work on the final third, movement, delivery and getting people in the right area.

“We’re not scoring goals and we just need a tweak. Some of them are trying too hard, maybe, and not getting any reward for it.”

Meanwhile, striker Rob Ogleby told the local press that the squad had been affected by Andy Morrell's departure:

“The shock of the gaffer leaving on Monday hit everyone quite hard because we all got on so well with him and then we had to go the next day and play the team top of the league which would have been hard enough under normal circumstances,”

“I thought we played okay and think the scoreline did not accurately reflect the game as a whole.

“Everything they hit seemed to go into the net and they only had a few more attempts than us on goal, but when things are going well for you, it seems that you enjoy a bit more luck.

“At the moment it’s  not going too well for us, but the only way to turn that round is by working hard and sticking at the things we can do well.”

Ogleby, a Welsh u21 international, is one of three Dragons players on international duty next week. Keeper Andy Coughlin joins the Bulls' Daniel Lloyd-Weston in flying to Jordan with the England C side, while veteran defender Dave Artell is part of Gibraltar's squad to face Estonia and the Faroe Islands.
