James Set For Chester Exit

Former Bull Kingsley James is set to leave Chester after turning down "probably the best offer Chester have ever made" according to manager Steve Burr.

Burr told the local press: “I spoke to Kingsley and he’s said he is not going to stay. It’s disappointing as he was made an offer of an improved deal.

“We will get compensation when he leaves which is something. He’s had a good season with us and it’s disappointing news for Chester but we’ve got to respect his decision.

“The offer for Kingsley was probably the best offer Chester have ever made but at the end of the day, money talks, and we can’t compete with some clubs.”

James' destination is currently unknown, with the 23 year old having spoken previously about being more concerned about his ill mother this summer.

He is also in the England C squad that takes on the Eire u21 side in Galway on Monday.
