Early Goals Were Perfect Said Beadle

Hereford FC scored twice early in this afternoon's game at Coleshill and manager Peter Beadle thought they helped settle the game.

"After the game they gave us (at Edgar Street) they were ready to go today," said Beadle.

"So the goals in the first ten, twelve minutes were perfect for us, gave us a great footing in the game.

"And then after that you looked for us to kick on and maybe snatch a couple more but it wasn't quite to be.

"The wind probably favoured us a bit second half but even then we knew we couldn't take our foot off the pedal because the way they play, with the side they've got, and the quality they had from set pieces it was always going to be tough if they got a goal back in the game earlier in the half but it wasn't to be.

"Even at 3-0 they were not going to throw the towel in, they are too experienced for that.

"Even at 3-1 with twelve minutes to go the game was still not over then so the fourth one was just nice to kill it off and kill them off a little bit really when they had worked so hard to get them back into the game."

The conditions were horrible, wind, rain and cold.

"The worse one for any players is wind, the rain you can deal with, but wind is hard to play in. It was quite strong first half but it wasn't going end to end, it was coming across at a bit of an angle but we played into it first half and when we play on this surface the wind gets taken out of it with the way that we play."
