Small Club With Big Heart

Hartley Wintney is a small village club with a big heart according to joint manager Dan Brownlie in an interview with BBC Surrey in advance of tomorrow's FA Vase tie.

"We've got a great club which is full of good people which will put on a real good day regardless of the event, whether it's Hereford or a lesser team," said Brownlie

"Home advantage is always a comfort for the players, the only thing they have to concentrate on is sticking the ball in the net and stopping it going in the other end.

"You would think they have the pick of the players.

"For example we went to play Merthyr in the FA Cup, they are a team above us, we beat them quite well.

"Their captain had just left to go to Hereford the week before so they are signing some players from some higher clubs so we expect them to have an amazing amount of quality within their ranks.

"I think we will go into the game as underdogs but we're happy with that title. But we've beaten teams documented as being better than us."
