We Never Really Had Any Zip said Beadle

After Hereford's 1-0 win at home to St Neots Town on Tuesday evening, Hereford manager Pete Beadle said his side need to start putting in a performance for 90 minutes.

Speaking to BBC H&W's reporter Keith Hall, Beadle said: "I keep saying to the boys, we've had 45 minutes tonight, 45 minutes against Biggleswade and Bishop's Stortford. It would be nice to get that from the start and have that tempo.

"If we do start like that then teams are going to find it hard to contain us. But I'm really pleased with tonight and all we can do is keep putting points on the board.

"It's always nice to have a big lead at the top and it gives you a little bit of breathing space. We've got a big game on Saturday and they [Weymouth] will come here hoping to get one over on us."

But back to tonight's game, Beadle said the Bulls could've scored more but did well to contain St Neots' front four.

"We were a bit off it and slow first half in terms of our tempo, to the game. We had good possession but never really had any zip about our play.

"Second half we started great, got the goal and then gradually started to wear them down. We could've added one or two more to the tally in the end but we didn't quite get there and it's a great result.

"Their front four are a handful and they're a really good side. To keep them as quiet as we have done tonight I thought is a really solid performance."
